Tribal varsity to come up in Vizianagaram
Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Monday said that the tribal university is being established in the district to protect the culture of tribals and their interests.
Kothavalasa(Vizianagaram): Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Monday said that the tribal university is being established in the district to protect the culture of tribals and their interests. Participating in a programme here, the Union Minister distributed house pattas to 146 families of Rella, TammannaMeraka villages of Kothavalasamandal, who lost their lands and houses for thevarsity.
He stated the Centre has decided to sanction Rs400 crore to the varsity. “The Tribal University will be another feather in the cap of our district.Even the district administration had also completed the land acquisition process as early as possible,” he said. The minister also handed over tractors to farmers.
MLA KLalitha Kumari stated that the Chief Minister NChandrababu Naidu has been concentrating on the development of district and sanctioning various schemes and projects. MLA BChiranjeevulu and MLC GSandhya Rani participated in the programme.
