Women’s panel seeks detailed probe by cops
The AP Women Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari has directed the police for detailed probe on newly married woman. It may be noted that N Sailaja was brutally thrashed and injured by husband Rajesh Reddy of G D Nellore in Chittoor district on their wedding day night three days ago.

It may be noted that N Sailaja was brutally thrashed and injured by husband Rajesh Reddy of G D Nellore in Chittoor district on their wedding day night three days ago.
Rajakumari has visited the victim Sailaja and consoled her on Monday at SVIMS Hospital Tirupati, where she is undergoing treatment. She strongly condemned Rajesh Reddy’s merciless attack on Sailaja, and assured the victim that commission would take action against Rajesh Reddy as per law.
Rajakumari said that Rajesh Reddy behaved with sadistic mentality on their first night, for covering his sexual impotency attacked on Sailaja and injured ruthlessly on her entire body. ``We directed the police to book a case against Rajesh Reddy on the sections of cheating, attempt to murder and domestic violence against women,” she said.
In this connection, victim N Sailaja Reddy speaking to media, said that along with Rajesh Reddy, his parents also harassed her on the wedding night to cover the sexual impotency of Rajesh. “They cheated me and my family, and spoiled my life. I request the police to take stringent action against Rajesh Reddy family and punish them”, Sailaja added.
Similarly, GD Nellore MLA N Narayana Swamy also consoled her at the hospital. Later, MLA speaking to the media, condemned the cruel attack of Rajesh Reddy on Sailaja. He demanded the State Government to punish the accused as per law and remove him from the Government teacher job.
It may be noted that, three days ago N Sailaja married Rajesh Reddy, a secondary grade teacher of Motharangan Palli of GD Nellore mandal. On Friday, marriage was held on a grand manner.
Later as per the family custom, couple spent first night at Sailaja’s father’s house at Chinna Damara Gunta. At that time Rajesh Reddy, to cover his impotency, brutally attacked and injured Sailaja. She sustained injuries on entire body and gave a complaint against Rajesh Reddy family at GD Nellore Police station. On the basis of victim’s complaint, police arrested Rajesh Reddy and sent him to remand.
