The temple management of TTD has not increased the rates of laddu prasadams for general pilgrims but revised rates for dharmic organisations which are organising religious programmes with the support of TTD in various places on their request, asserted Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju.

Tirupati: The temple management of TTD has not increased the rates of laddu prasadams for general pilgrims but revised rates for dharmic organisations which are organising religious programmes with the support of TTD in various places on their request, asserted Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju.

Giving clarification on the revised rates of prasadams to religious institutions at Sri Padmavathi Rest House here on Tuesday evening, the JEO said, keeping in view of the representations that are being received from certain religious organisations for the supply of additional laddu and vada prasadams whenever religious programmes are organised in their places, TTD has revised the tariff of prasadams only on such requests.

“We normally supply 10 big laddus at Rs 100 each, 10 vadas at Rs 25 each, 200 small laddus at Rs 25 each and 1,000 mini laddus at Rs 3.50 each,” the JEO said and added some organisations made an appeal to the TTD that they require more prasadams as thousands of devotees are attending the religious events.

“They also mentioned that they are willing to pay the amount fixed by TTD on these additional prasadams. So, we have revised the tariffs for big laddus as Rs 200 per laddu, vada at Rs 100 each, small laddu at Rs 50 each and mini laddus at Rs 7 each,” he stated.

Srinivasa Raju said the above prasadams will be supplied to the organisations on payment subject to availability of stock. “There is absolutely no change in the price of laddus that are given to pilgrims. These prasadams will also be not sold to any non-religious functions or organisations,” he clarified.
