Ongole: Sarva Siksha Abhiyan state project director G Srinivas has made it clear that services of employees – right from project officers to sectoral officers – will not be renewed if their performance is not up to the mark.

Addressing project officers through a video- conference from here on Tuesday, he expressed unhappiness over the style of functioning of some of the staff.

He asked the officials to implement HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s instructions, including circulating the ‘Manam Badiki Podam’ mobile application. Because of the dereliction of duty of some sectoral officers, central funds are not being released, he said.

He asked the officials to send details to the Projects Approval Board. He warned of serious repercussions if omissions and commissions like this take place.

The project officers should ensure that the SSA employees should get salary by first of every month. Complaints galore to the CM Dashboard on lack of toilets and sanitation, he pointed out.

He gave his piece of mind to the officials on lack of greenery, kitchen garden and hand wash facility at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. Many schools did not have lights, drinking water, medical check-up and other amenities.

He said that he would not tolerate dereliction of duty in spending funds. Right from sectoral officers to project officers, if found erring, would be sent home.

He expressed displeasure over Bhavita, IE, SMC reports. He breathed fire on the Project Officer for Krishna district for being negligent in enrolling students. ASPD Madhusudhan, Gurumurthy, KBGV JS Nageswara Rao, Chief Engineer Naidu and project officers of all districts took part in the programme.
