Pedavaduguru (Anantapur): YSRCP supremo Y S Jaganmohan Reddy promised to pay all medical bills in private hospitals which are more than Rs 1,000 under 'Arogya Sri', if voted to power in the 2019 Assembly elections.
Addressing a large gathering of people here on Tuesday, Jaganmohan Reddy made an impassionate plea to the people to stand by him and bless him as their son. Detailing some of the salient features of his Nava Ratnas promised to the people, He said that zero interest farm loans, Rs 10,000 pension payment for dialysis patients and education scholarships to school and college going students would be given.
He sought the advice of people to further improve the Nava Ratnas announced by him. Jaganmohan Reddy lashed out at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his ‘4-year misrule.’ Comparing the rule of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, he said it was not in the blood of Naidu to do anything good to the people.
Most of the schemes implemented by Naidu were only a continuation of the schemes initiated by the late Rajasekhara Reddy, the YSRCP chief said. Jaganmohan Reddy said that he undertook the 3,000-km long 'Praja Sankalpa Yatra' only to know for himself the problems being faced by the people and to console those victimised by the Chief Minister.
He said that Special Category Status to the State is the only panacea to all the problems being faced by the state and it would pave the way for new industries to come up. The industries would generate jobs. He flayed Chandrababu Naidu for planning to replace ration shops with village shopping malls. He alleged that it was a ploy to encourage private shopping malls and Naidu’s Heritage Group.
Jagan also alleged that corruption was rampant during the TDP rule. He said beneficiaries under various schemes were being asked to pay bribes. Former MP Anantha Venkatarami Reddy called upon the people to fight against the politics of murder being pursued by the JC Brothers.
