Ambedkar a strong votary of public sector
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajamahendravaram Asset executive director DMR Sekhar said that everyone in the society should emulate the great personality Dr BR Ambedkar. Though he was not with us physically, his ideas and vision were always with us, he said.

Participating in Dr BR Ambedkar's 61st death anniversary programme held in base complex here on Wednesday, Sekhar said Ambedkar's contribution to the country and the downtrodden cannot be forgotten and added that he was known for his relentless fight against casteism.
“He contributed a lot to the economic development of the country. Many opine that his work on Indian currency problem titled The Problem of Rupee, Its Origin and Solution has led to the establishment of Reserve Bank of India,” he said.
The ED said Ambedkar was a strong supporter of public sector in the country and ONGC was one among them. ONGC All India SC/ST Employees Welfare Association organised a blood donation camp.
Members of Association of Scientific and Technical Officers (ASTO), Petroleum Employees Union (PEU), All India OBC and EOBC employees Welfare Association and Women’s Development Forum (WDF) were present.
