Vijayawada: The city is witnessing new culinary trends with a change in the eating habits of the people. Now, all the food items are available, including biryani, dosa, idli, in all variants on moving trolleys.
The trend is very common in cities like Hyderabad but now, it is increasing in Vijayawada city. Presently, the food trollies can be seen surrounded by many people and permanent customers at all important centres.
Earlier, the vendors used to offer noodles and tiffins on their moving small-sized pushing trolley. But the city vendors and small size entrepreneurs introduced kitchens fully equipped with facilities on lorry type trolleys by offering 99 varieties of dosas and other food items..
Similarly, biryani is also sold on city roads on moving trollies. They provide the biryani in a pot. The new trend that biryani is being sold on moving vehicles was started recently and it got a huge response from food lovers.
Moreover, the food items are available at lower prices than at other food kiosks. The biryani vendor said that they park their vehicle at specific locations in the city.
V Rami Reddy, who came from Hyderabad to Vijayawada for attending meeting with the government, speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday said that the food trend was quiet common and it would get a huge response in small towns, too, in near future.
H Rajesh, an unemployed youth an engineering graduate, said that he was also working on it to start a food trolley. He said that the local software companies had offered only Rs 10,000 per month. He opined that self-employment was better when compared to jobs.
