Inaugurating a three-day ‘Amaravati Balotsavaram’ comprising cultural programmes and games at Krishnaveni Talent school, Pata-mata here on Wednesday, the Deputy Speaker said that the educational institutions were exerting too much pressure on the students to get ranks and better results. Students could get relaxation and recreation by attending and taking part in the cultural and sports activities, he added. He congratulated the organisers for hosting the three-day event.

District Collector B Lakshmikantham said the state government was promoting science and creative knowledge among the children. He said India is a country with the highest number of youth in the world and recalled that it has much younger population compared to other countries like China and Japan.

He felt education was the key for all-round development of the individual and stressed upon the need to hone skills to achieve the success. He felt children should cultivate the habit of creative thinking and pointed out that India is famous for creativity, art and culture for many centuries.

He called upon the school managements to impart creative education to the students and congratulated the organisers. C Boddu Nageswara Rao, ‘Amaravati Balotsavam’ organising committee president S P Kondala Rao, teachers and students of various educational institutions were present.
