Amaravati: A couple of days after releasing the growth statistics of the State, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to focus on tourism, aquaculture and other sectors from where high revenue could be earned, during a teleconference on Saturday.

Chandrababu Naidu said that officials of different departments including Real Time Governance, Planning Commission and the Chief Minister’s office should work in coordination to prepare strategies to be implemented for improvement of the economy growth.

The economy would grow faster if the government focused on prioritised sectors by identifying the potential, observed the Chief Minister. He suggested to officials to identify the key sectors.

He said that he would discuss on the same issue on coming Tuesday with officials of all the departments and directed them to come prepared for the meeting.The government’s efforts to maintain sustained double digit growth were yielding results, Chandrababu Naidu told the officials during the teleconference referring to the second quarter statistics of current financial year.

The Chief Minister suggested to them to focus mainly on those sectors which were not performing well when compared with the previous years. Tourism, industry sectors were performing well and they must be encouraged, he added.
He directed completion of all the projects within the stipulated time and suggested completion of the small and medium projects as early as possible.
