Lok Adalat for speedy disposal of cases
Speedy justice would be possible only through the National Lok Adalats, said Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairperson of District Legal Services Authority VB Nirmala Geethamba.
Srikakulam: Speedy justice would be possible only through the National Lok Adalats, said Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairperson of District Legal Services Authority VB Nirmala Geethamba.
Speaking at the National Lok Adalat on the district court premises here on Saturday, he said parties can settle the disputes in an amicable way at Lok Adalats which saves valuable time of courts and parties.
Joint collector KVN Chakradhara Babu said that 1,650 cases regarding Vamsadhara project compensation were settled through Lok Adalats. Superintendent of Police CM Trivikrama Varma pointed out that 1,900 cases were pending in 43 police stations limits across the district and out of them, 1700 cases were referred to Lok Adalats. District Bar Association president Annepu Satyannarayana said speedy disposal of cases would build up confidence among the people over judiciary.
