State govt paid bills to contractor for unfinished works, alleges Vundavalli
Former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar alleged that the State government has paid bills to Polavaram contractor for unfinished works. The government paid the bills intentionally, he added.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, he posed a challenge to the State government that he was ready to prove his allegations, if the government deputed its representative at least the project site engineer.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is misleading the people, saying that Polavaram Project will be completed by 2018, which is not possible.
Officials of Transstroy, the main contract company of Polavaram Project, gave a power point presentation before Union Minister for Water Resources Department (WRD) Nithin Gadkari at New Delhi recently, saying that they can complete their works only by June, 2020. The works were delayed as the State government handed over land after 40 months behind the schedule.
Meanwhile, Polavaram Project Authority (PPA) officials also said the same thing in a separate power point presentation to Union Minister for WRD Nithin Gadkari. It is the duty of the state government to clarify the doubts relating to the project, he said.
Vundavalli wondered why the government was reluctant to publish a white paper on Polavaram Project when different political parties raised a demand for it.
