8.7 tola gold, cash stolen from couple after they were drugged on train
A couple was robbed by a co-passenger on Falaknuma Express. The couple travelling from Ganjam district, Odisha to Hyderabad on Friday was found unconscious by the police as the train reached its last destination, Secunderabad Railway Station.They were shifted to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.Â

After gaining consciousness, the couple realised all their belongings were missing and approached the police in Secunderabad.
According to the complaint, the victims Vajrapu Sree Ram Murthy, and Sunitha were offered tea by a couple. While they refused the first time, they were offered coffee at 12 midnight on Saturday. Upon consuming the coffee, they fell unconscious. The couple were robbed of Rs 27, 000 and gold ornaments worth 8.7 told.
The incident happened when the train reached Visakhapatnam Railway Station and the case has been transferred to GRP, Visakhapatnam.
