Reviewing the arrangements with district officials and people’s representatives, Deputy Chairman of AP Legislative Council Reddy Subrahmanyam said this year the beach festival was planned in December and necessary arrangements were made by the district administration to conduct the festival in a unique way by covering various events like cultural, sports, tourism and artforms to attract the public at large.

On December 19, he said noted playback singer SP Balasubramanyam's musical concert would be held, Star Night programme would be on December 20 and music wizard A R Rehman’s grand gala was planned on December 21. He said Deputy Chief Minister N Chinarajappa, Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, District in-charge Minister K Kala Venkat Rao and Tourism Minister Akhila Priya will attend the inaugural day event on December 19.

He requested the district administration to ensure free movement of public without any traffic problems for them. Speaking on the occasion, ZP Chairperson Jyothula Naveen Kumar said the beach festival would provide opportunity for locals to present their performances.

Collector Karthikeya Mishra said efforts would be made to regulate traffic by putting separate lanes for public and emergency services by adopting a separate traffic plan.
Apart from cultural events, he said beach sports, aquariums, flower plants from Kadiyam nurseries, art exhibitions, paragliders, Heli ridings, kids’ games and artforms by locals were planned for three-day mega event.

He also said separate transport facility would be made for public from parking place to beach to prevent inconvenience. R&B Guest House constructed on beach would be inaugurated on December 19 by Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, he added.

Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna said 2K run was planned on December 17 in Kakinada city to inculcate the spirit of tourism festival. He added food courts illumination in city, sanitation and drinking water arrangements would be prepared for the festival. A separate rockband performance would be held on December 21 with AR Rehman.

Mayor S Pavani, Rajahmundry Mayor P Rajani Sesha Sai, MLC Chikkala Rama Chandra Rao, MLAs Anantha Lakshmi, Anand Rao, Additional JC J Radha Krishna Murthy, Sub-Collector Saikanth Varma, Kakinada Corporation Commissioner Siva Parvathi, Regional Director (Tourism) G Bhimasankaram, Whiz craft representatives and officials of various departments attended the review meeting.
