Book exhibition in city from Jan 1
The Vijayawada Book Festival Society will organize 29th book exhibition at PWD grounds here from January 1 to January 15, said festival society president S Venkata Narayana and former president B Benarjee.
Vijayawada: The Vijayawada Book Festival Society will organize 29th book exhibition at PWD grounds here from January 1 to January 15, said festival society president S Venkata Narayana and former president B Benarjee.
Speaking to media here on Monday, they said that Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the exhibition and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will also participate in the inaugural programme.
Several national and international level book publishers and sellers are expected to participate in the exhibition. They said the exhibition timings are from 6 pm to 9 pm in the exhibition days. First of its kind, the Cultural Department of Andhra Pradesh has announced to release Rs 50 lakh to the exhibition as financial support, they said.
The society is planning to conduct cultural debates and felicitate prominent personalities on the occasion, they told. NTR Trust also announced its support, they said.
