Vijayawada: Eight Bhavani devotees were hurt in a road accident on the National Highway near Nidamanuru village on the outskirts of Vijayawada on Monday. The mishap occurred when a speeding auto rickshaw rammed a truck parked on the National Highway in Nidamanuru village under the Patamata police station limits.
The autodriver lost the control and hit parked truck resulting in smashing of front portion of the auto. The injured devotees were shifted to Government hospital for the treatment. The devotees had the darshan at Durga temple and left for their native place at Koyyalagudem and Rajavaram villages of West Godavari district. Patamata police have registered a case.
