Expedite housing works: Minister to officials
Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana inspected the works of housing development for All India Service officers and MLAs in Rayapudi and Nelapadu villages of capital city area.
Amaravati: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana inspected the works of housing development for All India Service officers and MLAs in Rayapudi and Nelapadu villages of capital city area.
Officials told the Minister that 18 towers with 12 floors in each tower would be built under package-1 in Rayapudi village. Similarly, 22 towers with 12 floors in each tower would be built in package -2 and 21 towers with 12 floors will be built under package 3.
The Minister directed APCRDA officials to ensure sufficient water supply for construction works as early as possible and expedite the road works too.
AP Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) entrusted the construction works to Nagarjuna Constructions Company, L&T and Shapoorji and Pallonji to enable them to start housing project works.
The three companies are taking up the housing for MLAs, MLCs, AIS officers, IFS, HoDs, Gazetted officers and NGOs . CRDA instructed the companies to complete the housing project within 15 months.
Nagarjuna Construction Company started works under package- 1 in which 432 residential units will be built for MLAs, MLCs, AIS officers, IFS officers with a cost of Rs 700 crores. The size of each plot is 3,500 sq ft.
Under package-2, L&T will build 1,968 plots for NGOs with a cost of Rs 1,098 crore. Each plot size will be 1,200 sq ft and total space that will be built is 35,63,640 sq ft.
Under package-3, Shapoorji and Pallonji will built 1,065 plots for grade-1&2 Gazetted officers and fourth class employees with a cost of Rs 854 crore.
