GITAM Excellence Meet on Dec 15-16
GITAM Institute of Management will organise GITAM Excellence Meet–2K17 (GEM – 2K17) on December 15 and 16 at its campus in the city.
Visakhapatnam: GITAM Institute of Management will organise GITAM Excellence Meet–2K17 (GEM – 2K17) on December 15 and 16 at its campus in the city.
The GEM2K17 focuses on creativity, innovation, novelty with a theme being ‘Today’s Dream, Tomorrow’s Reality’, according to the organisers. The GEM, also known as Management Excellence Meet (MEM) is one such event which integrates all essential requirements for an all-round development of students.
"The way we foster relations between students involving all the departments be it MBA, BBA, BCom, is a way through which students learn new aspects which will make them ready for corporate world. One of the best ways to witness this is through GEM Fest, where students interact with each other regardless of their seniority," said Dr UV Adhinaryana, GITAM Institute of Management Vice-Principal.
The fest has lined up a series of events including Treasure Hunt, Start with Rs 50, QFiesta, Short Film Making, Buzzwords and Speak Your Mind. Apart from this, there are cultural events such as dance (group and solo), singing (group and solo), stand-up comedy, skit and drama.
The festival will conduct Inter-collegiate throw ball competition for girls and inter-collegiate cricket competition events. As part of spot events, pain ball, face painting, gamescom and ‘minute to win it’ will be held.
All the events would be held in two categories – seniors and juniors. Undergraduates and engineering students come under senior category. Inter or 10+2 students fall under junior category.
