Yemmiganur (Kurnool): Gonegandla Sub-Inspector Krishna Murthy, who arrested Kadivella Nabi Saheb and Bade Saheb in the forgery of an Adangal, has been on the lookout for the Gonegandla Tahsildar Chandrashekar for forging the document receiving bribe.

However, the police gave clean chit to computer operator Uday, whom the Tahsildar framed in a false case, and his involvement in the case was ruled out since he quit the job on November 2, 2015 as his marriage was fixed.

The Tahsildar, who earlier appointed Uday to collect bribes on his behalf, used to give caste and income certificates, ration cards, entertain mutation of names and changing names in Adangal only after collecting bribes.

In 2011, Mohammad purchased 2.51 acres, located under survey numbers 606, 607 and 608, from Katifsa legal heirs. As the said land figured prominently just opposite to the electric sub-station and by the side of Yemmiganur-Kodamur main road, some family members belonging to Katifsa in association with the Tahsildar hatched a plot.

As per the plot, the land was recorded on January 30, 2016 as it belonged to Nabi Saheb creating an adangal. On February 09, it was recorded as one Bade Saheb bought the land for Rs 65 lakh. Mohammad complained about it to District Collector, who ordered an investigation to bring to book the culprits.

On learning about it, Tahsildar complained about it to Gonegandla police station against Uday. A case was registered against Uday, Kadivella Nabi Saheb and Bade Saheb. The SI did not succumb to pressure and conducted probe impartially.

It was open secret that Chandrashekar was instrumental in creating the false records. When the VRO and RI were questioned about it, several interesting facts came to light. They said that Uday quit the job on November 2, 2015 because of his marriage.

Further, it was revealed that the Tahsildar never gave his digital key to others. It was confirmed that the Tahsildar created the false record but passed the buck to Uday to make him the scapegoat. The SI found out that the complaint given by the Tahsildar was not true. The Gonegandla police are on the lookout for the Tahsildar, who was on the run.
