4 accused in murder case arrested

Kurnool: The police arrested four accused out of five for their involvement in killing one Boya Krishna of Rudravaram village on December 4. They waylaid near a culvert and killed him. After the incident, the accused fled away. Four out of five accused were arrested and were brought before the media in the presence of DSP Khader Basha at Taluk Police Station here on Tuesday.

Addressing the media, Khader Basha said that the deceased (Boya Krishna) was a prime accused in killing one Kurva Ramudu of Rudravaram village. He was staying away from Rudravaram village. Kurva Ramudu’s sons, Kurva Murali, Mittagiri Kurva Venkatesh, Kurva Madhu, Kurva Mahendra and another villager Boya Chinna Yellaiah were waiting to take revenge.

On learning about Boya Krishna was visiting Rudravaram on December 4, all the five persons waylaid him near a culvert and hacked him to death. The family members of the deceased lodged a complaint. On the orders of District SP Gopinath Jetty, teams have been formed to nab the accused under the supervision of Taluk Police Station In-Charge CI Nagaraj Yadav.

The four accused were arrested on Tuesday near Masa Masjid. Two iron rods, two knives, one sickle and one mobile phone were recovered from them. Policemen are on the lookout of Kurva Murali who is still at large, said the DSP Khader Basha.
