Draft master plan briefed to politicos
Officials of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) have explained the details of new master draft plan to public representatives here on Tuesday. In the meeting, TUDA Vice-Chairman Ch Hari Kiran informed people’s representatives that the TUDA has prepared a draft master plan for Tirupati keeping future needs in mind up to 2035.
Tirupati: Officials of the Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) have explained the details of new master draft plan to public representatives here on Tuesday. In the meeting, TUDA Vice-Chairman Ch Hari Kiran informed people’s representatives that the TUDA has prepared a draft master plan for Tirupati keeping future needs in mind up to 2035.
The draft master plan was prepared with the technical support of Lee Associates. The TUDA conducted a detailed study for the last six months to prepare a draft master plan, the V-C stated. The master plan has zone-wise development plans. The Municipal Corporation of Tirupati, Puttur and Srikalahasti municipalities, and 9 mandals are part of the draft master plan.
Hari Kiran stated that the Lee Associates had collected the views of local MPTCs, sarpanches and other stakeholders before preparing the draft. Tiruchanur Temple and Srikalahasti Temple master plans also included in draft master plan, the V-C stated. Later, TUDA Chairman Narasimha Yadav said that the Vaikuntamala Project proposal was included in the draft master plan on the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
The TUDA Chairman told the people’s representatives that the master plan will be released by the end of the December. Earlier, public representatives have suggested few changes in the draft master plan. Tirupati MLA M Suguna, MLC Dorababu and Tataiahgunta Gangamma Devasthanam Chairman R C Munikrishna, TUDA officials and representatives of Lee Associates were present.
