The Election Commission of India has announced schedule for the conduct of election to MLC seat in Kurnool district under local bodies category.
The Election Commission of India has announced schedule for the conduct of election to MLC seat in Kurnool district under local bodies category.
The MLC seat fell vacant after the YSR Congress leader Shilpa Chakrapani Reddy quit the post before joining the party from TDP at the time of Nandyal Assembly Constituency bye election.
As per the schedule, notification for election will be issued December 19. Nominations will be received from December 26. Election will be held on January 12. About 1,084 local body representatives will cast their vote in the election. Counting of votes will be held on January 16. Elections code in the poll bound Kurnool district has come into force with immediate effect.
