Amaravati: Minister for Health and Medical Education Kamineni Srinivas made it clear that the students of Fathima Medical College have no option but attending NEET examination next year.

The Minister held a meeting with the parents of students at Secretariat on Thursday. He told them that the Medical Council of India did not accept any proposal of the state government and the Union Health secretary Preethi Soodan also said that the students have to write NEET examination.

“I will be in Delhi on December 18 and 19 and once again I appeal to Union Health Minister JP Nadda to consider filing a PIL in Supreme Court on Fatima Medical College issue,” he said. The Minister also said the college management agreed to return fees to the students and a five-member committee would be formed to finalise the fees details of the students.

He said the state government would bear the fees of the students who wish to join long term NEET coaching and also pay fees to the students who would get seats under A and B category after qualifying the NEET examination.
