The V-C said on Thursday that those who completed diploma will be well-versed with temple administration and have a thorough knowledge of temple Agamas and legal procedures. He further said the course is blend of both the legal and ritualistic aspects.

“We are planning to introduce temple administration course through online for working employees,” he stated. The V-C has discussed with the members of the expert committee comprising former NIMS Deputy Director Dr RVS Avadhanulu, former Law Secretary of AP government Kalanidhi Satyanarayana Murthy retired SBI Chief Manager KVV Satyanarayana, coordinator Prof Rani Sadasiva Murthy about the modalities on organising the course and contents of the syllabus.

RVS Avadhanulu has stressed on the need of the course for educating the future generations. He stated that priests can learn about the great heritage of Indian temples by enrolling in the course. He said that basic knowledge of the Vedas, Puranas and Sastras is essential to understand the culture of Indian temples. Kalanidhi Satyanarayana Murthy has emphasised on the laws related to Hindu temples.

Prof Rani Sadasiva Murthy, the coordinator of the programme, has explained the contents of the diploma. The other modalities are also being prepared and soon this will be introduced initially as an online course enabling even full-time employees of any organisations can enroll for diploma, he added.
