Secretariat employees demand promotions

Amaravati: AP Secretariat employees have been demanding government to give promotions based on the experience. They staged protest, organized a rally in secretariat and submitted request letters to the officials at General Administration Department in Secretariat at Velagapudi in Amaravati on Wednesday.

The employees explained that nearly 1000 employees are waiting for promotions in the secretariat, in which some of them have been working from 1998 onwards. Vara Lakshmi G, Section Officer in GAD informed that they have been demanding to give promotions for the employees working Secretariat. She said that the government was not considering their request and it has been kept pending for long time, hence they staged protest.
