3 held for stealing concrete lift machines

Eluru: Two town police arrested three persons for stealing concrete lift machines and seized four concrete millers and an auto.

Eluru DSP K Eswara Rao addressing the media at Two Town police station on Saturday said that there are complaints of theft of concrete machines used for the constructing buildings in the city over the last few days. On December 1, Kadiyam Ramesh of Eluru lodged a complaint with Two Town police stating that his concrete miller machines were stolen. Based on a complaint, Two Town CI G Madhubabu and SI K Ramarao took up investigation.

The arrested are identified as Kinthati Vamsi alias Venkat Rao, Manepalli Gandhi aka Durga Rao, Kandavalli Babu nee Vasantaraju of Baptistpeta in Eluru. On interrogation, the trio confessed to their crime.

The trio first stolen the concrete miller at Sanivarapupeta area in Eluru rural mandal. Later, they were involved in theft at railway station area in Eluru, second one at Beedi Colony area and third at Vasantha Mahal Centre in the city.

He said that these three persons planned to sell these machines in Jaggaiahpeta. The DSP said that on the complaint of Ramesh, the police watched CCTV footage of various areas and found that an auto loading the concrete millers. Later, police arrested the accused. The police team seized a lift miller, four concrete millers and an auto, DSP said. Eluru Two Town CI G Madhubabu, SI Rama Rao and others were present at the press meet.
