Aqua Tech Expo begins
City MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao along with Rural MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi launched the two-day 5th Aqua Tech Expo 2017 at the SRMT Function Hall here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vanamadi said that these kinds of expos were very useful to fish and prawn farmers in the district.
Kakinada: City MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao along with Rural MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi launched the two-day 5th Aqua Tech Expo 2017 at the SRMT Function Hall here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Vanamadi said that these kinds of expos were very useful to fish and prawn farmers in the district.
He added that noted scientists in aqua farming would give suggestions and the farmers can also learn the new technological developments in farming. He said that aqua farmers have been incurring huge losses due to diseases.
MLAs Vanamadi, Anantha Lakshmi, MLC Chikkala Ramachandra Rao and Mayor Pavani released the monthly magazine for aqua farmers. Later they visited every stall in the expo and asked about the new techniques in fish and prawn cultivation. The fish and prawn cultivators from all the 13 districts and fisheries department officials attended the expo.
