Four arrested in murder case

Kurnool: The Rural police arrested four persons on the charges of killing one Vadde Chinna Maddilety of Bhramanapalle village on December 5. All the accused were brought before the media in the presence of Kurnool DSP Khader Basha at rural police station on Friday. The DSP said Vadde Chinna Maddilety of Bhramanapalle was married to his cousin (sister’s daughter) Venkateshwaramma six years ago.

Since their marriage, Venkateshwaramma was not interested in her husband and was known to be continuing an illicit affair with one Mulla Mahaboob Basha alias Mabasha of Bhramanapalle, he said. She wanted to kill her husband and explained her plan to Basha. He contacted one Vadala Manohar and promised him to pay Rs 1 lakh. Initially, Basha had paid Rs 80,000 to Manohar and assured the remaining amount after murdering Vadde Chinna Maddilety.

Manohar developed friendship with Vadde Chinna Maddilety. On December 5th, Manohar with the help of his friend G Mallikarjuna killed Maddilety at Pudicherla Metta. Later they fled the scene. The police registered a case and identified the deceased as Chinna Maddilety. On suspecting the deceased wife’s role, the police interrogated her, and she confessed to the crime with the help of her paramour, Vadala Manohar and G Mallikarjuna, said the DSP.

All the four persons were arrested and seized mobile phones and a motorcycle from them. The accused would be produced in the court, the DSP said. Circle Inspector Nagaraj Yadav and other policemen were present.
