Gudur police have cracked a double murder case and nabbed 16 accused that include 13 men and 3 women. Police also seized two autos and knives used for the murder. The accused were identified as PoojariSomaiah, DegaVenkateswarlu, DegaPenchalaiah, DegaChintalu, DegaPeddaBommaiah, AniganiPolaiah, SPeddaNagaiah, SMani, SNagabhushanam, DVenkataiah, DVani,DVijayamma and DSubbamma.

DSP VS Rambabu disclosed the case details at Gudur 1-Town Police Station here on Saturday. According to the DSP, Dega Narayana and Dega Ramaiah families have longstanding animosity for about the rearing of pigs.
In view of the disputes,DegaChinnaJayaramaiah andDegaPeddaJayaramaiah killed DNarayana on May 5 this year. A case was filed against the two brothers for killing Narayana who belongs to the same colony. Kin of Narayana had lodged a complaint against these brothers.
Group rivalries between the two families were unresolved and the police asked Pedda Jaya Ramaiah and China Jaya Ramaiah to leave Indira Nagar. Subsequently, they had shifted their families to Vidyanagar of Kota mandal. But, in the second week of this month, some unidentified persons set fire to the huts of these two brothers.
Chinna Jaya Ramaiah and Pedda Jaya Ramaiah visited the place on December 10. They were brutally murdered by their opponents. Rivals, who plotted murder plan, attacked them with lethal weapons and killed them on the same day.
After investigating the case Gudur 1-Town police nabbed the accused on Saturday in a forest area close to Gudur,’ said the DSP. A man hunt was launched to apprehend the three accused who were at large, he added. Gudur 1-Town Circle Inspector TV Subba Rao, Sub-Inspector Naresh were also present.
