Krishna dist tops in e-PoS system

Vijayawada: District Collector B Lakshmikantham said on Saturday Krishna district stood first among the 600 districts in the country in supply of fertilisers in Aadhaar based e-PoS system.

He said the Union government had chosen Krishna district for the implementation of e-PoS system for supply of fertilisers.

He said 863 e-PoS machines are functioning against the 1,113 machines installed in the district for supply of fertilisers.

In a press release, the Collector said Aadhaar linked fertilisers distribution was started in Krishna district in October 2016.
He informed that 5,16,087 transactions were made and 2,21,559 tonnes of fertilisers supplied to the farmers since October 2016, he added.
