Maoist killed in encounter

One Maoist was killed in an exchange of fire with combing police in the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) on Friday. A police party from both Andhra and Odisha combing the border area, spotted armed Maoists at Lukapani forest area and in an exchange of fire, one Maoist was killed. Some Maoists managed to escape into deep forests.
Visakhapatnam: One Maoist was killed in an exchange of fire with combing police in the Andhra-Odisha Border (AOB) on Friday. A police party from both Andhra and Odisha combing the border area, spotted armed Maoists at Lukapani forest area and in an exchange of fire, one Maoist was killed. Some Maoists managed to escape into deep forests.
The Odisha police confirmed the exchange of fire and said that one body and one SLR recovered from the spot. The identity of body was yet to be ascertained. With the incident, the armed forces intensified their combing operations in the cut-off area on the AOB.
