Newborn dumped in dust bin
A newborn baby girl was dumped in a dustbin at a marriage hall in Nidadavole on Saturday. The local people, who heard the weeping of the baby girl, immediately took out it from gunny bag in which it was wrapped.
Eluru: A newborn baby girl was dumped in a dustbin at a marriage hall in Nidadavole on Saturday. The local people, who heard the weeping of the baby girl, immediately took out it from gunny bag in which it was wrapped.
According to police, local people Ramesh, Chiranjeevi and Sitamahalakshmi admitted the baby girl to nearby Children’s Hospital where the doctors provided first aid. On receiving information, Nidadavole SI Satish Kumar reached the hospital and shifted the baby girl to the Government Hospital.
The local woman Mahalakshmi, who was among the local people, who saved the newborn, asked the Sub-Inspector that she will adopt the baby girl. However, SI Satish Kumar told her that it would be handed over to Women and Child Welfare Department and from them she has to seek their permission for adoption. The police are searching for the unknown persons who put the the newborn in the dustbin.
