Akiveedu: Andhra Pradesh Women Commission member Sirigineedi Rajyalakshmi has taken a serious note on the incident of sexual harassment of girl students by Principal and Telugu lecturer in Andhra Kesari Prakasam Centenary Zilla Parishad High School in Dumpagadapa village in Akiveedu mandal.

On the directions from the State Women Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari, the Commission member Rajyalakshmi inspected the college on Friday and interacted with girl students and boy students separately and inquired about the incident.

Speaking to media, she said the teachers should work for better future of students. However, the allegations of students are shame to society as the Principal and the Telugu lecturer indulge in sexual harassment and using abusive language, she added.

She lauded the students for daring to lodge complaint against misdeeds of Principal Vara Prasad and Telugu lecturer Wesley. It is learnt that the Principal and lecturer’s relatives have visited the houses of the students and tried to bribe them to withdraw their allegations.

Rajyalakshmi said that she will submit her report to Chairperson of State Women Commission Nannapaneni Rajakumari. She appreciated the students who stick to their demand, seeking action against the culprits.
