The district is gearing up for sons rise in the political horizon with several sons of the politicians evincing keen interest to contest in several constituencies in the 2019 Assembly elections. 

Anantapur: The district is gearing up for sons rise in the political horizon with several sons of the politicians evincing keen interest to contest in several constituencies in the 2019 Assembly elections.

TDP in the district has won in 12 of the 14 Assembly segments in 2014 and is hoping to repeat the same performance in 2019 elections. The YSRCP had won in just two segments, Kadiri and Uravakonda constituencies. Kadiri MLA Chand Basha had defected to TDP party.

JC Brothers of Tadipatri, Diwakar Reddy, MP and MLA Prabhakar Reddy have decided not to contest in 2019 elections instead field their sons in their constituencies. Anantapur MP Diwakar Reddy has already announced his intentions and plans openly.

He is urging Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to allot party ticket to his educated son Pawan Kumar Reddy for the Anantapur Parliamentary constituency. Similarly, his brother Prabhakar Reddy too is planning to field his son Ashrith Reddy from Tadipatri Assembly constituency.

Likewise, ICDS Minister Paritala Sunitha also wants to introduce her son Paritala Sriram to electoral politics. Sunitha is representing Rapthadu constituency but she is trying to find an additional political space along with her contesting the election. In case, party high command accepts her request fine otherwise she might leave her political space to her son.

Already, Sriram is actively taking part in party activities and trying to carve out a place for himself. Hindupur MP Nimmala Kistappa is also planning to field his son. He too wants the party high command to allow his son Sireesh Kistappa to contest from Hindupur Parliamentary constituency. He is also actively taking part in party activities and is readying himself to step into his father's shoes.

Chandrababu Naidu is planning to nominate Nara Lokesh from Hindupur constituency, according to party sources. Payyavula Keshav, MLC is also likely to be renominated from Uravakonda constituency where he lost to YSRCP MLA Visveshwar Reddy.

Senior party veteran leaders, who are planning to field their sons in their place are hopeful for their sons rise as the party also wants to introduce young blood and educated youth to usher in a constructive politics and change the political culture of yester years.
