Inculcate moral values, positive thinking in students: Sujana
Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y Sujana Chowdary said that the education system should incorporate social awareness and human values.
Visakhapatnam: Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y Sujana Chowdary said that the education system should incorporate social awareness and human values.
He said human values and social awareness would only help in building a healthy society. Sujana Chowdary was the chief guest at the valedictory function of Tech-2017 conference here on Monday. He said technology should be utilised for imparting more knowledge.
With the availability of latest technologies, the works could be executed in a swift and hassle-free manner. However, he regretted that the technology was being misused for wrong purposes.
He said students should be taught human values right from school-going days along with other subjects Right from the schooling the teachers must teach the human values along with regular subjects to guide them in the right direction.
He said the real knowledge could be gained not only from the books but from the experiences of elders and experts. The students should give equal priority to their career and moral and ethical values. He said that students should be training towards developing positive thinking.
Stressing on the importance for conducting such conferences every year, Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao said the conference had prepared a vision document linking the technology and human values.
During the three-day long brainstorming sessions, over 800 delegates from 75 nations discussed on various issues and presented several papers, the Minister added.
