At the 14th JNTUA Academic Senate Standing Committee meeting here on Monday, chaired by Vice-Chancellor S Srinivas Kumar, the first semester syllabus of M Tech, M Pharmacy, Pharma D and MBA programmes was ratified, said Director of Academic and Planning Prof. A Anand Rao.

Anantapur: At the 14th JNTUA Academic Senate Standing Committee meeting here on Monday, chaired by Vice-Chancellor S Srinivas Kumar, the first semester syllabus of M Tech, M Pharmacy, Pharma D and MBA programmes was ratified, said Director of Academic and Planning Prof. A Anand Rao.

The committee approved the second, third and fourth semester syllabus for the PG programmes under the R-17 regulation. It ratified the second and third year B Tech R-15 batch syllabus and approved the pre-PhD source structure syllabus and regulations for 2017-18. Prof Rao stated that the committee also approved the credits, syllabus and subjects for a B Tech student to secure a minor degree in another branch.

The meeting stated that JNTUA was the first varsity in Andhra Pradesh to introduce a minor degree. Among those present at the meeting were Rector Prof D Subba Rao, Registrar Prof S Krishnayya, DE Prof K Rama Naidu, professors S V Satyanarayana, H Sudarsana Rao, V Sankar, M Vijayakumar, OTPRI Director Prof K B Chandrasekar and College Principal Prof K Prahlada Rao, Kalikiri Principal Prof Eswar Reddy, according to PRO Ankarao.
