Anantapur: ICDS Minister Paritala Sunitha has inspected the stocks relating to Chandranna Christmas and Sankranti kits here on Monday. She reviewed the arrangements made for their distribution with Civil Supplies officials.
The Christmas gifts included 1 kg of wheat flour, half-a-kg of red gram dal and green gram dal each, and half-a-litre of palm oil and 100 ml ghee. The number of Christian beneficiaries include nearly 35,000 in the district.
The beneficiaries for Sankranti kits include 11.6 lakh. In all, the state government is spending Rs 360 crore for the festival kits. The Minister asked the beneficiaries to return their commodities if quality is lacking.
