3 women arrested; 136 gm gold recovered

The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested 3 women and recovered 136 grams of gold ornaments from them on Tuesday. The accused were identified as KavatiGurramma (20), MogiliAnitha (50) and P Rajyalakshmi (42) of Prakasam district.
Kadapa: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police arrested 3 women and recovered 136 grams of gold ornaments from them on Tuesday. The accused were identified as KavatiGurramma (20), MogiliAnitha (50) and P Rajyalakshmi (42) of Prakasam district.
The CCS CI AEswara Reddy said the police arrested them at Alankhanipalle village based on the information provided by villagers in Kamalapuram mandal. During the interrogation, the accusedconfessed of committing thefts in Kadapa district. The CI stated the modus operandi of the accused is to snatch the gold chains from passengers travelling in autos and buses.
