Vempalli: Andhra Pradesh Private Schools Association (APPSA) State Secretary B S Ramana Reddy has urged the Government to suspend Ram Gopal Varma’s web series `Kadapa’.

In a press release issued here on Tuesday, Ramana Reddy has said that eminent personalities like Potuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamy, Annamacharya, Dadasaheb Phalke Award recipients B N Reddy and Nagi Reddy and noted comedian Padmanabham were born on the soil.

He flayed Varma for showcasing the district as a birth place for factionists. It is unfortunate that the director wants to project the district to be a land of politics of murder, he said adding it is not good on the part of Varma to show the present picture of district on the basis of the past incidents. Ramana Reddy called upon political parties, people’s organisations and intelligentsia to respond on the issue.

He asked the film maker to stop projecting the district badly. He also warned the director that he would fight legally and boycott the director’s films if the web series aren’t stopped.
