BPL beneficiaries would get house pattas by Sankranti
Tirupati Sub Collector Nishanth Kumar has assured to provide house sanction orders to the beneficiaries of Below Poverty Line (BPL) in Mangalam area of the city. He visited the area in survey number 1 on Tuesday, and made an intensive inspection of files relating to the beneficiaries.

Later, he said that as per the government orders, 1,700 people of BPL families have submitted their applications for house pattas, who were residing unauthorisedly by January 1, 2014. The eligible beneficiaries will get free house pattas before Sankranti as festival bonanza. So far, 500 eligible families were identified in Mangalam area itself.
The Sub Collector has asked the Urban Tahsildar to inspect the remaining applications and prepare the final list soon. Urban Tahsildar Chandra Mohan, Revenue Inspectors Prem Kumar, Ramachandra, VRO and others were with the Sub Collector.
