Cyber Security lab set up at GITAM
Information Technology Department of GITAM University set up a Cyber Security laboratory with high-end facilities to focus on penetration testing, web application hacking, network based hacking, wireless hacking and mobile based hacking related issues.

Special Commissioner of Andhra Pradesh State Technical Education GS Panda Das inaugurated the lab here on Tuesday. Vice-Chancellor Prof MS Prasada Rao, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof K Sivarama Krishna and Registrar Prof M Potharaju were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, GS Panda Das emphasised the need for cyber security which is playing a vital role in multiple areas of information technology. He advised that the academic institutions to follow the industries to know their requirements.
