Visakhapatnam: The Forum for Development of North Andhra Organisation (FDNA), including Union members of DCI, conducted a round-table meeting on the issue of privatisation of Dredging Corporation of India here on Tuesday.

Former IAS officer EAS Sharma said that thousands of families would be affected with privatisation of DCI. The DCI is one of the top 10 companies in the world, he said and added that it was started with Rs 28 crore in 1976 and now reached Rs 5,000 crore turnover by the end of 2017.

The DCI secured contracts in Bangladesh and Bahrain and why the government has taken this decision, Sharma questioned ? General secretary of Forum for Development of North Andhra A Aja Sharma said that the FDNA will support the DCI Employees Union till the cancellation of privatisation move.
