Andhra University’s Department of Statistics will be organising a three-day international conference on \'Population, Health and Development \' from December 20 to 22.
Visakhapatnam: Andhra University’s Department of Statistics will be organising a three-day international conference on 'Population, Health and Development ' from December 20 to 22. The department is organising the seminar in connection with 38th Annual Conference of Indian Association for the Study of Population (IASP), according to Dr UV Somayajulu, IASP President.
The prime objective of the seminar is to provide a platform for a scientific discussion on important issues relating to population and linkage with health and development. The intention is to enable knowledge and experience sharing among the population scientists working on these issues and also provide a critical review of various policies and programmes so as to provide an agenda for future policy initiatives, according to Prof K Srinivasa Rao, General Chair, Department of Statistics.
