Minister for medical & health, Dr Kamineni Srinivas on Tuesday announced that the Union government of India has given exemption to Andhra Pradesh from Clause 371D which allows the students of the state to contest for almost 4,482 seats through Neet exam.

Minister for medical & health, Dr Kamineni Srinivas on Tuesday announced that the Union government of India has given exemption to Andhra Pradesh from Clause 371D which allows the students of the state to contest for almost 4,482 seats through Neet exam.

Expressing his gratitude in this regard, the Minister stated that the students from AP have got an entry into National Pool.

Along with AP, Telangana and Jammu Kashmir have also entered the pool and this will be implemented from 2018-19.

Currently, there are 27,710 medical seats nationwide with 1,900 seats in AP and if 285 seats are given to the National Pool, the students of AP will get a chance to appear for 4,482 seats through Neet. Similarly, for the PG seats, the students will have the chance to appear for 7,236 seats.
