Kurnool: District Collector S Satyanarayana said that all child care centres in the district should be registered without fail. Presiding over a review meeting with the ICDS and Police department personnel on registration of child care centres being run under the Juvenile Justice at his camp office here on Tuesday, the Collector instructed the officials concerned to take steps and ensure that all the child care centres in the district were registered by the end of this month.

They said that around 1,078 street and orphan children were sheltered at the child care centres.

Out of the total figure, 445 were females and 633 were males, the officials informed. Joint Collector-2 Ramaswamy, District Women and Child Welfare Project Director Jubeda Begum, District Probation Officer Rama Subba Reddy, Superintendent of Home Ram Mohan Reddy, police officials and others were present.
