Inaugurating the handloom exhibition-cum-sale organised by Apco at Fancy Goods Merchant Association Hall in the town on Wednesday, the Collector advised the public to purchase them in the Apco showrooms and exhibition-cum -sales stalls being organised at various places.

Inaugurating the handloom exhibition-cum-sale organised by Apco at Fancy Goods Merchant Association Hall in the town on Wednesday, the Collector advised the public to purchase them in the Apco showrooms and exhibition-cum -sales stalls being organised at various places.

He said that the sale would be continued up to January 17 and asked the public to utilise the opportunity to receive fabulous discounts. He explained that the garments were woven using handlooms by skilled weavers and the Apco has put the works of various types of handlooms in the exhibition.

T Narasimha Murthy, Apco Divisional Marketing Officer from Vijayawada said that the popular varieties of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, including Dharmavaram, Venkatagiri, Madhavaram, Pochampalli, Gadwal, Narayanapet, Uppada, Uppada silk sarees, Machilipatnam, Rajahmundry cotton sarees, Mangalagiri, Nizam border sarees, dress material, blankets, towels, lungis and readymade shirts are available with 30 per cent discount.
