JC Diwakar Reddy plans to derail development, alleges Swaroopa

Hyderabad: The infighting in TDP in Anantapur district came to the fore on Wednesday with Mayor M Swaroopa targeting TDP heavy weight and MP JC Diwakar Reddy. Reacting sharply to Diwakar Reddy's diatribe against her that she had become a stumbling block for development, the Mayor said, it was MP, who as a "monster" was trying to derail the development works that are in progress in the city.

"I advise him to remove the black goggles that he wears to see for himself the good work the municipal corporation is doing and stop putting a spoke in the works that the civic body is taking up," she said. Speaking to mediapersons, she said that Diwakar Reddy always visited Anantapur once in three months or six months and as a "monster" ensures that all works are stalled and then would disappear. He should realise that wearing suit is not enough.

His behaviour should suit the suite he wears," she said. The Mayor challenged whether it was not true that he had made sure that no contractor would file bids for the works for Suryavanka project. Afraid of Diwakar Reddy, the contractor did not file any bids because of which the work is being delayed, she said and added that Diwakar Reddy had so far not spent even one rupee from his constituency funds for development of the city.
