Nellore: SETNEL organised a one-day workshop at NGO Home on the available sources for employment to jobless in the district on Wednesday. Joint Collector-2 VV Subba Reddy called upon youth to utilise various government welfare schemes and programmes for self-reliance and suggested to improve their skills for tapping resources.

SETNEL CEO Dr C Subrahmanyam explained about the programme being implemented in the district. Assistant Director of Industries Department SV Suresh advised to develop a website exclusively for youth where what kinds of needs and skills that industrial organisations and corporate firms require and necessity for improving them among jobless.

B Ramesh Babu, Assistant General Manager, Nabard, said roads and bridges are being constructed by the government with financial assistance from their institution and state government is also giving loans for self-employment. He said youth can try for employment in banks, and for government opportunities through service commission. Many other speakers also stressed the need for improving skills through various programmes.
