Mudaliars seek BC tag in AP
The Tamil Nadu migrants, who have been living in Tirupati since many years, have demanded to put their caste in BC list across AP. Currently Mudaliar caste is in BC list in TN border districts only.
Tirupati: The Tamil Nadu migrants, who have been living in Tirupati since many years, have demanded to put their caste in BC list across AP. Currently Mudaliar caste is in BC list in TN border districts only.
Speaking at City Mudaliar caste Maha Sabha held at CPI Kalyana Mandapam here on Wednesday, Tamil Nadu State Mudaliars Association president Shanmugam said in temple city, more than 4,000 Mudaliar families were living for several years whereas the government totally failed to address the problems.
In the meeting Mudaliar Maha Sabha passed three resolutions on their caste problems in AP. One is to put the Mudaliar caste in BC list. Another major resolution is to allot government site for construction of Mudaliar Community hall at Tirupati.
Later Tirupati MLA Sugan assured the Mudaliar caste people that he would bring the problems of Mudaliars to the notice of Chief Minister. Mudaliar Committee president Chandrasekar, vice-president Venkatesh, general secretary T Venkataraman, Manohar Mohan and Shanmuga Valli were
present.
