Stating that it is a collaborative seminar and not an enforcement session, he praised that all the Sri City based industries are strictly implementing safety norms and labour laws prescribed by the government. Welcoming the Minister and other guests, Sri City founder and Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy traced the growth of the business city and thanked the state government for the support and encouragement being extended.

Addressing the gathering, Satyavedu MLA Talari Aditya, said that Sri City enjoys a preferential treatment from the government because of its excellent performance. Satyavedu came into limelight due to Sri City. Emphasising the importance of safety, Director of Factories G Balakishore observed that an industry cannot progress with mere productivity and safety but welfare of staff play an important role in its success.

Rayalaseema region Joint Commissioner for Labour Srinivas mentioned all companies in Sri City are in strict compliance with prescribed labour laws. Hence, there is no need for their interference, he added.

The two-day seminar was jointly organised by the Factories Inspectorate and management of Sri City, involving all the stakeholders, including the state government departments of Factories and Labour Welfare and the industries in the region.

The intent was to discuss and deliberate on building safety culture in industries and sharing the best practices. The HR and safety managers of Sri City units, a large number of safety officers of various factories in Chittoor and Nellore districts have attended the conclave.
