Gopalakrishna Visakhapatnam District Football Association chief
Kosaraju Gopalakrishna has been unanimously elected the President of Visakhapatnam District Football Association (VDFA). The annual general body meeting and the elections for the VDFA were held in the city on Wednesday. Â
Visakhapatnam: Kosaraju Gopalakrishna has been unanimously elected the President of Visakhapatnam District Football Association (VDFA). The annual general body meeting and the elections for the VDFA were held in the city on Wednesday.
A Jagannadha Rao was elected secretary while A Anil Raju was elected treasurer of the VDFA. Olympian MV Manikyalu, BVV Raju, KA Swamy, G Appa Rao, SP Naidu, H Patro and D Raja Rao were elected vice-presidents of the VDFA. Speaking on the occasion, newly elected president Gopala Krishna said that the elections were held after a gap of 25 years.
The general body approved the proposal to open a new bank account for Visakha Trophy and approval to appoint two Executive Committee members, one from the Sports Journalists Association and another an eminent sportsperson. The AGM approved the necessary procedures to be followed for the registration of VDFA with the registrar of societies.
